I love when clients challenge me to shoot outside of my normal go-to locations, especially when the spot brings them back to a time they were growing up. For my client, the trail to one of the most infamous surf spots in the world was where she wanted her session to be. Trestles isn’t easy to get to. There is a trail path from a small East side parking lot and a paved bike path on the West side. Either route makes for a tough walk back after a day of surfing or napping on the beach. The good news is that it’s not a busy beach and in the winter, makes it almost private and a perfect backdrop for a cool winter session with this gorgeous extended family.
