The summer is over and so much is changing as we watch our kids go another grade up, and for some, have alone time with little ones. Just a few short months ago I was honored to capture this sweet family at home to celebrate the arrival of the newest girl to their party. Seeing them recently made me realize how much she’s grown and changed so much already!
Being home just a few days from the hospital is generally such a vulnerable time for the whole family, but not them. They were all beautiful and calm…they were beaming. Opposite of what I remember my own experience was in the first days home with my babies, this family seemed to already have a rhythm flowing, sisters playing and laughing, grandparents walking the dog and Mom and Dad taking turns caring for sweet Minnie.
As I moved around their home, their history hung on the walls in the form of drawings, portraits, snapshots and carefully curated collections from their childhood. Found things and furniture that stretched through generations told me of where they’ve traveled, lived and who they are. I found it so humbling to be a part of that in this small way. My heart was so full!
